During one of my security program scans, a "Potentially Unwanted Program!" was detected and when I remove it, I get a message that it can't be completely removed. The detection name is MotherboardMon, when I search on it, this is what I get:
Threat Profile: MotherboardMon
Risk Assessment
- Home Users: N/A
- Corporate Users: N/A
Date Discovered: 1/26/2005
Date Added: 1/19/2005
Origin: Unknown
Length: N/A
Type: Program
SubType: Adware
DAT Required: 4420

Aliases
MotherboardMon

How could I completely remove it, I think it is in my C:\temp file and if I can't will it cause me problems?

I'm not familiar with motherboardmon but it says it is adware. I would try using this program to remove it.

If you can't remove adware (like motherboardmon) 100%, it's not the end of the world. Most of these just track you and report data (or cause unwanted popups). But if you removed most of it, it's probably not active any longer.
