This went on for hours, I would have to shut down and once I minimized it, then that would be the end. I went on line and googled, someone said to: *If you right click on each of the email folders and select "properties" you will see a check box: Automatically generate Microsoft Exchange views". UNcheck this box on each email folder. You will still get a very brief "synchronizing" message, but ONLY while it is actively linking to your POP account. Try it...* Well I did it and it worked, but now I'm concerned with what I actually stopped from happening. What will be the end result of what I did? Are you using a PDA or exchange server? If not then I wouldn't worry about it. If you aren't using two different devises to check email, then there is nothing to sync up to. One thing I can tell you, I have 2 computers and I run outlook on both for my emails. These two computers are set up on a home/office network that I did myself. Yea, I see your face now, "Oh no! ", anyway, the whole setup may not be exactly right. Can be linked to mobile phones or the Internet for sending and receiving e-mails or faxes or even browsing the Web. As far as the two network computers go, I'm not sure if that is the problem. Are you checking the same email on both computers? If so I can see how both computers would want to sync up, but if not I don't know. I'm at a loss. Even if the 2 network computers were trying to sync up you would still have to set it up. That is ok, except if both computers are on & Outlook open on both, then I'm never sure which computer my emails will be on. I usually try to keep only one Outlook running at a time. I have a hard enough time keeping up with emails in the first place. I can't imagine having to look on different machines for an email. I would only check email on one primary computer. If you have to use two different computers becuase of one is in a different place, you might look into the syncronizing option to see how it is really supposed to work. I'm sorry but I don't have any experience with the syncronizing feature. Maybe someone else can weigh in on this.
