I am new at Joomla and am doing pretty good editing and adding pages. What has got me stumped is where do you edit the home page?
I can't find it anywhere in the static content manager. _________________ Live life like everyday is your last! |

Ahh, this is a common issue. The home page is located in a different place within the admin section.
You can edit the home page by going to menu item:
Content->Front Page Manager
Or you can click on the icon "Frontpage Manager" on the home page of the administrator area
Example:

Mary,
I'm glad you have joined our forums. On your site the content to be displayed included an adsense ad so we had to use a different set of logic to display correctly.
The home page pulls a module that then displays the final content. It is found under "modules > html modules"... however, we have it locked because if it is not edited correctly the entire 4 block area on the index looses its settings and becomes displayed incorrectly.
This is a common situation on many "non-standard" content body layouts. But do not worry... it's easy for a professional to make changes on.
If your changes are simply text changes (no overall layout changes) then please send an email to James with an attached text document of the changes and we should be able to take care of it swiftly.
If you find this is an issue that you would not like to deal with in the future (sending emails to make simple text changes on this one page) then please address that with James as well. We can discuss redesigning the body content area of the front page to be less strict toward edits on your part.
Hope this all makes sense and we look forward to hearing from you. _________________ If you have an an urgent question, please call me.
