Ever wonder how to backup your emails? Have you ever wanted to tranfer all your emails to another computer?

Here is how to do it:
  1. go to your C drive and open "Documents and Settings"
  2. open "Owner" or what ever you login as on the computer
  3. open "Local Settings"
  4. open "Application Data"
  5. open "Microsoft"
  6. open "Outlook"
    (C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook)
  7. Copy the three files (Outlook.pst, archive.pst and extend.dat) note: you may not have an archive.pst file. The Outlook.pst is the most important one.
  8. Now paste it where you want it to be safe or transfer it to the new computer in the same location as on the computer you backed up from

If you have any trouble feel free to post a reply, I'd be glad to help!

Great tip!

I went about doing this once and it was a lot harder then that... I downloaded some program that didn't work very well and got more frustrated then anything.

I'll be sure to remember this next time.
Very Happy

You're supposed to back up your emails? Man I am so not with it. I feel a "Brian please help me" moment coming on.
