In Joomla
I went into:
Sigsiu Online Business Index 2
Configuration
General Configuration
Sort Categories by:
Here I changed the sort order from Ordering Ascending to Name Ascending. It changed the sort order on the "Submit your listing" page in my website, but in the back end, it didn't change the order of the categories on the Category Manager [ root ] page.

Does anyone know how to change the sort order of the category list in the backend?

In the back end you will need to change the order manually. Here is an image that I think will help explain it.



What you will need to do is renumber all of the categories and then click the save icon like in the example image above.

As usual, Thank You! I thought that was what I had to do, was hoping for something more simple!
So changing the "Sort categories by:" in General Config.
from ordering ascend to name ascend didn't cause any problems?
