I have a few ideas for products/software for PC use. These would work with the internet, much like a toolbar does. However, I personally only work in web design... what "type" of programming does windows apps run on/with/etc. (C++ maybe?)
This is an uncharted area for me... but I'd like to know where to start my research. Any help would be great.

I'm ingnorant in this subject as well, but I do know of friends who have taken C++ classes and made Windoze applications.. Weather or not its the prefered method, I do not know.. If I run into my buddy, I'll ask

Please do. I got a web 2.0 app I have spec'd out that i want to produce... but I am at a wall at this point.
