Just couldn't wait could she. Wink

Liz mentioned where she got it done at. Please tell her to keep a good eye on it, I've never seen one heal from there without getting infected or part of the ink falling out.

I wish she had got a hold of me first, I have enough bad tattoos and have been around the business long enough that I know what to look for in an artist. You should always know the artist a little before just getting a tattoo.

Compare it to a hair stylist. You get a bad haircut, it will grow back. You can then try someone else. But if I said you were going to get one last haircut and it would be that way forever... do you know off hand who you would choose? would you go to supercuts and let just who ever was free (or cheapest) cut it?

most people don't think about it that much... they are just so excited to get it that they don't care if it's as good as it could be. And in tattoos, and extra $25 for a life time of enjoyment, is a good investment. I'd rather pay $500 for a really well done small tattoo then $25 for one that is going to be infected and look bad later on.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that it heals well. if she starts having problems, have her call me.

Good advice...

Who do you use for an artist, Brian?

My favorite local artist is Eric Wiley at Goodfellows. (who's photos on that site don't do his work justice)... After that it depends on what you are getting as to who I would recommend.

I find the work of some of the guys at 7th Street to be really good... As well as Chris Thomas over at Golden Lotus in Sherwood.

If I was going to pick some more famous artists to recommend ... it would be:

Nikko for color portraits.
Kat Von D for black and grey portraits.
Paul Booth legendary for dark and demented work.

The list could go on and on... it really depends on what you want to get as to who I would recommend.

Beyond that, you really need to know the artist. Read about them, check out their work, even talk to past clients. But once you have done your homework and feel comfortable, it is in the end your decision to make.
