Ever wonder how to backup your emails? Have you ever wanted to tranfer all your emails to another computer?

Here is how to do it:
  1. go to your C drive and open "Documents and Settings"
  2. open "Owner" or what ever you login as on the computer
  3. open "Local Settings"
  4. open "Application Data"
  5. open "Microsoft"
  6. open "Outlook"
    (C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook)
  7. Copy the three files (Outlook.pst, archive.pst and extend.dat) note: you may not have an archive.pst file. The Outlook.pst is the most important one.
  8. Now paste it where you want it to be safe or transfer it to the new computer in the same location as on the computer you backed up from

If you have any trouble feel free to post a reply, I'd be glad to help!

Great tip!

I went about doing this once and it was a lot harder then that... I downloaded some program that didn't work very well and got more frustrated then anything.

I'll be sure to remember this next time.
:D

Outlook files are very popular in the world, and for this reason with them there are many problems,on example-corrupted or deleted mails, these problems solve through-can we edit and view in the ost file, because tool helped me and friends too,it has free status as far as I can see, program convert all information from Microsoft Exchange (files with the .ost extension) into files of the Microsoft Outlook mail client (.pst files) - OstToPst procedure, allows you to effectively solve problem ost pst conversion, can use the ost to pst conversion tool to easily move your messages, contacts, notes, meetings, reminders, tasks and all other information, effectively convert all information from the local Microsoft Exchange storage into a Microsoft Outlook file - ost pst conversion (Microsoft Outlook .pst converter),allows you to convert Ost Pst data not only from good, but also from corrupted OST files - .OST file recovery software.
